Established in 1955, Great Falls Rescue Squad is a South Carolina state chartered emergency response agency. Located in Great Falls, S.C., the squad performs a range of rescue and EMS (Emergency Medical Service) operations. It responds to a spectrum of medical emergencies, including cardiac emergencies, seizures, burns, endocrine disorders, obstetrical/gynecological emergencies, soft tissue injuries and fractures. Great Falls Rescue Squad also provides emergency extrication, land/water rescue operation and life-saving courses to the community. Additionally, the agency offers mutual aid agreements to assist surrounding municipalities in the event of disasters.
