Provided by YP.comWe wanted to do 2 things:
1. Make our driveway wider;
2. Put 3 wide steps in our side yard
We had a tree next to our driveway=limited the width. He said that he would remove it for free to secure the bigger job.
During the job, they got concrete on our grass, killing it. They cut our phone line, they cut our garden hose, and they put in 4 steps. They left exposed pipe from an old sprinkler sticking up all over the yard.
When I told Larry my phone line was cut, he would leave a pipe for the new phone line. That repair cost me over $500. His pipe was no good. New grass cost several hundred.
When the concrete was being poured, I saw FOUR steps. Laborers didn't speak English. Couldn't get in touch w/ Larry. AFTER the fact, he said he wouldn't charge for it.
BILL TIME: 3x the estimate. Charge for tree removal, no compensation for cut lines, hose, or grass. I figured I would send him an itemized bill rather than quibble
CHECK COLLECTION= He came by before 8am the next day, (Sat)and I was in the shower. He told my 10 year old son to go get me, that he had jobs.
Later, I sent a letter about the hose, grass, exposed pipe, phone line, and charges for the tree/extra step. No reply
Tried to get him served. Court house staff and cops actually laughed; he's notorious for being slimy AND slippery! He wouldn't answer the door or wife would claim he was gone.
Went to court. By that time, we had a new born baby and sitter backed out. Had to take baby with us.
His wife was in mediation, too, and she had no right to be there. She said she would sue us for telling our neighbors not to use them. My husb freaked and urged settlement. I said ok b/c baby was fussy. We got 3/4 of what we asked for; shouldn't have settled; I can say whatever I want about a business, it's my right. I was vulnerable.
In mediation, he was awful, as was his wife. Rude people who talked above us, and would interrupt when we tried to speak.
Don't understand how he is still in business

Provided by YP.comWe had Northern Colorado Concrete out to our house for a concrete patio. We had just had our driveway redone by a different company the day before and let Northern Colorado Concrete know this. As if the verbal warning and the neon orange tape around the driveway weren't enough, Northern Colorado Concrete ignored these warnings and brought their wheelbarrows, heavy equipment, and tools onto the driveway that hadn't fully cured from its new concrete. It's ironic that a concrete company that SHOULD know the rules of curing concrete would ruin another concrete job in this manner. After I received several phone calls from neighbors letting me know Northern Colorado Concrete was ruining our new concrete driveway, I talked to the laborers and Larry (owner of company). Larry is a JOKE - super trashy with pitiful customer service. The fact that this company still exists is SHOCKING.

Provided by YP.comHorrible company to work with. It was one of the most stressful events I have ever had to deal with as they didn't follow through on the agreement and changed the terms in the middle of the job.
