I had my Geo-Thermal unit installed by Air Quality Specialist (AQS) in July of 2008. With one full year of use the savings in energy cost is over 50% ( a portion of those savings can be attributed to a reduction in electricity rates through my provider).

A word of caution seems appropriate for those thinking of having a Geo-Thermal unit installed - The integration of the home, the furnace and the in-ground piping is critical. Too many homeowners are dissatisfied with their newly installed units. I believe it's because not enough knowledge and experience has gone into the design and installation of the those components.

Geo-Thermal units have the potential to save a significant portion of the heating and cooling cost but only if the unit is designed and installed correctly.

Who ever you choose, do it only after a thorough check of the installers back ground. Your research will be time well spent.

When it comes to results, I have no problem recommending AQS as the design and installation specialist to put first on your research list.

If results and how a business treats you after they have your money, is an indication of a business that wants to stay in business, AQS will be around for a long time.
