Based in Green Bay, Wis., it offers an array of programs, such as home visits, housing assistance, disaster relief, job training and placement, food pantries, dining halls, clothing, transportation and utility costs, care for the elderly and medicine. The Better Business Bureau accredited organization also offers assistance for victims of aids, substance abuse, and crime; shelters for the abused; education programs and social justice programs, to name a few. Society of St. Vincent de Paul caters to over 14 million people in need every year and performs over 644,000 visits to people in their homes.

An Amazing Thrift Store

This is just a review of the St. Vincent De Paul thrift store, as I have not utilized any of their other services. This thrift store is the best that I have been to anywhere that I have lived. It is one of the largest, with such a variety of products. Clothing is sorted by color and size, and it is available for everyone from infants to the elderly. It even has a sizable collection of wedding dresses for sale, in case you are looking for a way to save money on the special day. There are large collections of toys, books, games, and household items available for sale, and the products are all in excellent shape. There is a whole room dedicated to furniture. My husband and I have bought chairs, recliners, and a mattress and bedspring from here, and they are all of great quality. The prices are amazing, some of the best that I've ever seen. I highly recommend this thrift store for anyone looking for a great deal on just about anything.
