Mountaintop Cabin Rentals fraud



WOULD NOT RECOMMEND At checkin management company forgot to give us the cabin keys and we had to drive 14 miles roundtrip to retrieve keys. The outdoor deck was covered in dog feces that and beer bottles which we cleaned. Deck was covered with piles of snow which we shoveled to one side when last snowfall was a week prior to our visit. When meat was prepared for BBQ the outdoor grill was filthy and unusable. Food stored in refrigerator was frozen because it was not properly working. Mouse traps were discovered everywhere in the cabin and was not disclosed to us. Vacuum cleaner was not working properly and there was no mop to clean the floors with. However we were not refunded the security deposit despite the fact we vacuumed ,cleaned the counter tops and bathrooms, took out the trash, because the rental company stated that the beds were not made to their standards ,dirt left by their old vacuum was on carpet, and light furniture were slightly out of place. Although there was a minor stain left on the carpet , we left the cabin in the same condition if not better since deck was completely hosed down. They expected us to clean the cabin as if we were a professional cleaning crew and found nonsense excuses to take our full deposit . We were mortified when we discovered their rodent problem. It appears that the cabin is not regularly maintained there for creating several health code violations. When discused with management we were harassed and threatened to be charged more. Resolution Sought: Complete refund of $300.00 security deposit.
