Great experience at Family Vision Center!

This is the most complete eye exam I have gotten anywhere.

Dr. was great and very helpful with getting me exactly what i needed. My insurance doesnt cover as much as it used to but im a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I will never go to "discount buy one get one" places again.

No comparison.

So happy with my new Oakley glasses. They look and fit perfect! I also picked up a pair of perscription Oakley sunglasses this week!

You cant complain about having to pay for quality service and products.

I’ve been going to Family Vision Center for years. My insurance coverage is decent and I typically walked away with a nice pair of glasses for no more than $200 after insurance (I get anti-scratch, anti-glare, etc...) However, on my last visit I was told that a basic eye exam costs $154 and that I would have to pay a $30 co-pay (apparently, I was told, they have been billing incorrectly for years). I wanted to get contact lenses and was told that the contact lenses exam and fitting was separate and would cost $179 (mind you I need multi-focal, which is a little more costly than a regular exam). I was expected to pay $92 of the $179 (not sure how they figured that amount). I called several other doctors and found that a comprehensive exam, contact lenses exam and fitting before insurance was between $129 and $179 for multifocal (no separate pricing). The comprehensive eye exam portion alone was between $50 and $65. My insurance allows $50 for the comprehensive exam, which means Family Vision charged me an astounding $80. The woman handling billing tried to be patient with me, but was extremely stubborn in thinking she was right. Sorry, I’m not going back – not at those prices. Now I’m stuck with glasses and not the contacts I really wanted unless I’m willing to pay for another comprehensive eye exam out of pocket. Shame on Family Vision center – don’t see how they’ll stay in business when they charge three times as much as everyone else.
