Provided by YP.comI was informed that my dog has a mass on his tongue. I felt guilty for not noticing it but the doctor was so kind and explained that it wasnt my fault. She was genuinely caring when I got upset and helped me process the information. She was wonderful. But then again, I have NEVER had a negative experience at Simmons. You people are beyond fantastic. I can't say enough or give enough praise. Thank you thank you thank you...

Provided by YP.comOver the years I have brought my dogs to Simmons for various " after-hours emergencies" with my dogs. I was always treated well and my dogs were treated with such good care. It was one week ago tonight, that my dog Peanut came to the end of her life. She was a tiny, 4 lb, Pomeranian who was way bigger in spirit and love. She was always by my side, always there, she was my best friend and comforted me through the ups and downs of life. I could tell she just couldn't go on, she was struggling, so it was up to me to comfort and love my dog and say goodbye. I called Simmons on Saturday and spoke to the Vet. She calmly explained my options and comforted me. I sat with my dog and realized that I had to be strong for her. I called Simmons and they said they would be waiting. It was 10pm when I carried Peanut into the vet. They were so kind and compassionate. Dr.Seheult came and sat with me and explained everything clearly and with such empathy and kindness. Everything to the way the room was set up for this gave me a feeling that they understood how much this dog meant to me and they treated her with such gentleness and care. A few days later a package came in the mail- from Simmons Veterinary Hosptial. I opened the package and was breathless at first. They had sent me a card- with hand- written message, signed by numerous staff, there was a book- Good-Bye My Friend, about grieving the loss of your pet. But the most precious thing was a very Carefully wrapped little white heart with Peanuts' paw print! I sat in my car and cried. But beyond that, who does things like that? Who takes the time, makes the effort to make you feel cared about. To show such grace and kindness is beyond what you usually encounter these days. I think that Simmons Veterinary Hospital is place that truly cares for the physical needs of the animal and the spiritual relationship that a dog or cat or whatever have with their "FAMIlY". I will never forget your kindness, thank you. Kathy Sweeney

Provided by YP.comMy pet, Mikey, is now in Florida permanently and part of that decision was due to Mikey's care at Simmons. We will leave him at Simmons while I return to NY periodically. Sometimes I think he likes Barkeritaville more than home.

Provided by YP.comMy 13 year old dog was sick. After almost $1000 worth of tests, Simmons Vet still did not know what was wrong. I went to a new vet and told him the symptoms and without any tests knew it was an auto immune disease and given the history and age of the dog they gave me medication to just treat symptoms as they arose. This vet is all about money money money. No integrity or concern for animal or parents at all

Provided by YP.comJust a note to say thanks. My dogs (Bella & Lilly) were boarding there on July 3/4. I let them know when I made my reservation that Lilly may/may not be able to go out to the dog park. She's a rescue that we've only had about 6 mos. on July 4th, I logged onto the west lagoon camera and saw Bella having an awesome time for several hours, but no Lilly. Later, the other dogs were still outside, but Bella was not there. I figured she was taken back to keep Lilly company. When I checked later, business at the dog park had died down as everybody was pooped. But, then I saw Bella and Lilly. One of the tech had put them on leashes and brought them out so Lilly could enjoy a little bit of the dog park. They were walking through the pool (Lilly normally doesn't like the water, but did that day. Anyway, just a thank you. They could have just labeled Lilly a bad citizen and that would have been it. Potty breaks only. But that tech went out of his way to let Lilly enjoy a taste of the dog park with her companion. Awesome.

Provided by YP.comDr. Questa to the rescue! This past Saturday bringing our Mackenzie in for her annual was the busiest I've ever seen your office! Things were a little crazy and our Bulldogge barks loudly nonstop until we're in an exam room. There were no rooms available and no one could hear upfront because of our dog. Dr. Questa swooped in and escorted Mackenzie to the back so peace was then restored for all! Among the chaos, we still got excellent service and Dr. Questa's undivided attention. Even check-out a breeze as front desk took care of paying our bill in our exam room to avoid another round of Mackenzie barking. Thank You Simmons Staff for taking care of us!

Provided by YP.comI would like to say after bringing our beagle to Simmons due to an emergency last year I was amazed at how well each staff member treated me and my family. We were very distraught because we knew what needed to be done. They made the decision we had made just a little bit easier. The day after they called to see how we were doing; which was very thoughtful. Then a few days later we received a sympathy card and a print of our dogs paw; which is on our entertainment center. Then on Saturday January 15th my husband and daughter had to bring our other beagle to them. My husband shared with me he was amazed with the way the facility is run. He said every one was so kind and full of compassion. They explained everything in detail of what we needed to do for our beagle. Due to the fact that I was not there I had a few of my own questions so I called and left a message. I received a call back that day and Dr. Yvonne Mercak spent 15mins. reviewing Tweety's condition and what needed to be done to improve her quality of life. Thank you to all the staff for all you do!!!

Provided by YP.comHi! We just wanted to say thanks! for taking such great care of our Shih Tzu Lucy. She loves coming to Doggie Day Care on Fridays and we can tell she was spoiled rotten when she recently stayed for a week at Barkers Hotel. We do not think she wanted to come home. We have noticed a lot of positive changes since she has been coming to visit. Before she used to be shy around strangers and now she will walk up and let strangers pet her. She is also more active when we take her to the dog park. She still has her days where she would rather lounge around and watch from the sidelines. On most days though, she is in the middle of the action chasing the other dogs. Thanks again! Mary & Joe Berger

Provided by YP.comDr. Simmons, This is Valarie Stafford and your surgery on Chelsea six weeks ago has gone great so far. She seems to back to her normal self. The open wound on her knee has healed up beautifully. It's almost back to perfect, except for the scar. She has been waited on hand and foot by everyone in my office, my boss carried her in the sling and showed me the best way to do that. I can't thank you enough for giving my Chelsea a second chance, she deserved that. Your technique and skills are amazing. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and everyone at Simmons Hospital who were so good to her. I will give you that update in six months. Keeping my fingers crossed that nasty cancer stays away. It's funny, after Chelsea had her surgery she received flowers, pet toys, cards in the mail, people stopping by sitting on the floor with her (trust me, all the attention, she just ate it up). My neighbors little boy cried when he saw her leg and brought over a basket of goodies for her, he's 6. A few people said to me she's not just your dog, she's all of our dog and I guess she is. Thank You For Everything, Valarie Stafford & Chelsea-Scarlett Too!!

Provided by YP.comI have always had a hard time finding a place that could groom my yorkie just the way I wanted it. That is until I found Barkers Spa. I took him there for the first time about a month or so ago to get his hair cut but I didn't want it to short or too long. Wanda the groomer there, was very nice in sitting with me to get an idea of what I was after. I even had a photo that was close to what I wanted to help her visualize the look. She didn't even really need to see the photo as she knew what I was after. I came back later to pick my baby boy up from the spa and he looked simply amazing. It was almost as if it was the first day of getting him all over again. He looked so refreshed and happy. Everywhere else that he has ever been he always looked stressed out afterwards, but not at Barkers Spa. He had the full spa treatment and was treated like prince charming and even looked like prince charming when I picked him up!

Provided by YP.comThe Barkers Hotel is such an amazing place to board your animals. I take my three puppies there almost everyday for their Doggie Day Camp service and my babies love it. When they call it a hotel it really is a hotel. It has all the ammentities a pup could ever ask for. Even TV's in some of the rooms. Whenever I have to leave town I know my babies are safe and happy at The Barkers Hotel. I tell them everytime they go that they are going on a vacation like mommy ;). I cn't weait for my Cats to experience the Hotel one day as the Cat Suites are very nice as well.

Provided by YP.comEvery thing is done right there. They make sure you are in an exam room right from when you walk in the door so there is no waiting. They are gentle and kind to not only the pets but to the clients as well. I brought my pet in and normally he is scared out of his mind. He just walks right up to everyone that works there as if he has known them forever. I feel like he trusts them which I have NEVER seen him do at any other vets offices. I will be staying with this vet from now on. No doubt about it!!

Provided by YP.comI have always found that all of the hospital staff are friendly, caring and professional. My experience with other veterinary hospitals was not as good. They were more like factories that had to produce a quota for the day and as a result I always felt that my time was limited and was rushed out to make room for the next. The clinic and boarding facilities are always clean. I had my own boarding kennel for 19 years and challenge anyone to find a cleaner of more modern facility. As far as I am concerned I would never take my pets elsewhere.

Provided by YP.comSomething I think you need to know, this is what I see...................
You have the most courteous, polite, helpful, friendly people in your employee. It indicates a lot about your business operation. A very nice experience. Many places an employee doesn't bother to look directly at you, and 'thank you' is a foreign language.
Thank you both for all the nice things you do for me.

Provided by YP.comBuddy Loves Simmons! Every time we go to a scheduled appointment and tell Buddy, he gets very excited and goes to the door like he is ready to leave that very moment! He runs up to the door at Simmons and goes in like he is some sort of celebrity, and of course, the girls greet him like he is one! Thanks to everyone there for making it a fun experience for him, in particular Dr. Raymond and your tech, Greg, who seems to be able to relate to Buddy, and make him feel at ease no matter what is being done to him! Keep up the Good Work! Greg Petry, Greenacres
