We were there in 2011 and we came from california. I had never had a soft shell blue crab sandwich before and I ate my first there. It was the best I had compared to the others I had after at other "nice" resturants. The crusty crab is the best. Planning a trip again just to get some!

My husband and I ate at the Crusty Crab, I had crab cakes and he had the seafood marinara. The dinner was AWESOME!!!!, prices are comparable to other local restaurants but the quality is what shines above the rest! With this restaurant, you know the food DID NOT come premade from a restaurant supply to be thawed and dressed up. The recipes are authentically their own, and the service was wonderful. We could not have asked for better service, and this is one of two restaurants on the E.S.V.A. who cooks from scratch. It's like eating at Grandmas!MMM-MMMM!!!

Our first trip there, it seemed like they didnt have their ducks in a row, but the food was awesome as well as the prices. Second time we were there, they were firing on all cylinders! We love this place! The homemade tartar sauce and cole slaw were soooo awesome! We loved the crab cake sandwhich and flounder sandwhich. The burgers are also huge and tasty. This place has housed some lousy restaurants since the Baywitch, but I think they finally found a good replacement in The Crusty Crab!! I reccommend this over Rays Shanty and Bills. Rays is "ok" and Bill's is overpriced for the quality you get. Give it a try! You'll enjoy the atmosphere and bay views too.

We were eager to try THe Crusty Crab and always like to support local businesses, but we were hugely disappointed. When we got there, we must've waited 15 min for anyone to even greet us, and they looked annoyed that we were there. After being seated, we waited another 20 min for a waitress to show up to even get drinks. We ended up being there for 2 hours! And not because the food was good....it was awful. The fried stuff was so-so, but my husband and I had sea scallops which were small and cold when they arrived.Just was not a good experience.....I felt so ripped off when we left. Beer is over priced- $3 a can! The service was awful and I don't foresee them being around that long.....and it makes me SAD to say that, but they don't seem too concerned with impressing people, that's for sure!

We just ate at Crusty Crab Seafood Shack. The food was fabulous!!! I had the crab casadillias and my husband had the Chicken and Dumpling buffet. The prices are reasonable and all of the food is "home cooked." The sweet iced tea was just like grandma use to make! We will definately be going back..soon!Linda & Rick Lambertson
