Greenbelt Department of Recreation provides recreation services and facilities for self development, and enrichment of social and cultural experiences of the residents of the city of Greenbelt. It organizes various activity camps for children and adults, such as the Kindercamp, Camp Pine Tree and Creative Kids Camp. It also provides classes and workshops on various activities, including arts, dance and fitness. It additionally operates therapeutic recreation programs and has aquatic and fitness centers that provide training on swimming and exercise. It also offers various athletic programs, such as races, basketball and kickball. It works in coordination with community organizations and operates various projects, such as Greenbelt anniversary celebration, graduation nights and Labor Day festival. The facilities operated by the department includes the community center, youth center, the Springhill Lake Recreation Center, Schrom Hills Park, Buddy Attick Park, dog park, athletic fields and skate park.
