Dr. Peter Uzelac founded the Napa Valley Fertility Center in the summer of 2009 and, most recently, the Marin Fertility Center in April of 2011, with the aim of improving upon the current standard of modern-day fertility care. He identifies two particular life experiences as having a major impact on his philosophical approach. During a 4-year tenure with the University of Southern California Perinatal Group, Dr. Uzelac practiced high-risk obstetrics and witnessed the sometimes-devastating outcomes of complicated pregnancies. He cultivated a deep concern for how problems of late pregnancy and childhood can have their roots in the earliest developmental stages of life. He now brings this one-of-a-kind perspective to caring for couples struggling with infertility, paying special attention to the components of reproductive health beyond conception.
