Universal America, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is one of the leading manufactures of fused zirconia materials. It produces finished sizes of zirconia for the investment casting and automotive markets. Its products are used in the steel making industry for manufacturing submerged entry nozzles and shrouds, slide gate valve plates and inserts, metering nozzles, crucibles and kiln furniture, and investment casting shells.
