I have been pleased from day 1 with Pool Care! They have been so helpful to me, someone who had ever owned a pool before. I have always been completely satisfied with everything from opening my pool, installation of an automatic cover, helping me understand how to take care of it, assisting me with keeping the water balanced, to closing my pool. I recommend them to everyone!

Always easy and pleasant to deal with. Know who I am and what my pool is (size, style) when I call or come in and that was after only 1 or 2 dealings with them, not 10 years. Have been excellent to work with, easy to schedule closings/openings with. 2 stories of their great customer service. After cleaning my pool the morning of my daughter's graduation party, I could not get the system to reset with the pumps working properly. When I called and asked for help and explained the situation, he came out at no charge and found the issue. Just this summer our daughter called me saying there was a problem and the pool was leaking at the pump. I was out of town, but called them. They immediately went out, found and fixed the problem and called me back to let me know what happened and all was now ok. I previously used the other long time operating pool store in town and I switched after 2 years of owning a pool. I'll never go back there as they nickel and dime you to death. Poolcare has great service, only sells you what you need, and puts their customers #1.

Motown Swimmers

We have used this company to both open and close our inground pool for several years without complaint. They are always professional, on time and efficient. Occasionally there seems to be a lack of communication between the staff there, but all in all we can't complain. We take out water in to be tested at the store, they tell us what to buy and how much and we have never had to do major work to keep our chemicals balanced.

I have not compared their pricing for major things like pumps and liners to competetors so I can't speak for their pricing of large investments- but their chemicals are right on target for a store not too far from home.

New Pool Owner -Old Baggage?

We moved to a new home with a pool. We never owned a pool before. We purchsed all of our chemicles that first summer from Poolcare. Always friendly and helpful when entering the store.

Now it is spring and time to open the pool! Why not use this local company where I've been buying my chemicals! This is where things went downhill. They started the work to open our pool buy dumping the leaves and twigs from the top of the cover into the pool. They cleaned the cover. And then walked away saying it needed more water, which it did. We added water and called them back, she took our number. No return call. I called again, she took our number, no return call. After two weeks, the pool totally green no bottom in sight I went to the store front. Granted, I didn't start out saying who I was, just said that I needed to speak to someone about our pool opening. The woman running the place at that time, not the owner, got defensive and said "I don't even know who you are". Interesting way to ask you your name! She went to the back and conversed with another woman who said, take her name and number and we'll call her back. I was in the store remember!

The owner did call that night stating that he did not want to work on our pool. Had he known it was the pool of the previous owner, he would not have started the job. His staff started the job and he did not want them to do so. He felt that the pool was too much of a liability to him. (It is a concrete bottom pool and is very large, normal than most residential pools. His insurance apparently wouldn't cover him). I asked what he would be doing about the huge mess he had created. His response was again that he did not want to work on that pool.

I spent close to $1,000 to recover from the mess they created.
