Greetings! I'm Dr. Kimberly R. Shelton and I'm an Internal Medicine provider affiliated with MDVIP located at 1591 Yanceyville St Suite 200 A Greensboro, NC. I have had my doctorate in Internal Medicine since 1994. I completed my undergraduate degree from Duke University and my doctorate from UNC Chapel Hill. I became a doctor because I truly enjoy helping people. I like the challenges that modern medicine offers as well as the rewards that it brings. The feeling I get when you have a patient that has completed a successful wellness and /or treatment plan, no longer needs maintenance medicine because they have taken the necessary steps towards optimum health is truly overwhelming. I wanted to improve on existing practices and discover new ones that work and would be successful for all people from all backgrounds. My practice is unique in the fact I am MDVIP affiliated. MDVIP stands for Medical Doctors Valued In Prevention. I am a participant of a unique group of providers that were burned out or well on their way due to seeing an average of 3 to 5,000 patients a year. I wanted the freedom to practice medicine my way, at my pace and with the present model it’s just not possible. MDVIP offers my patients same day appointments, 24/7 on call services, longer appointment times to truly connect with me and for me to truly partner with you and set you on a path of wellness. I am able to have a workload that is manageable, and gives me freedom to practice medicine my way, my terms. There is an enrollment fee associated with becoming a patient that will be discussed during your complimentary consultation. I do participate with most major medical health plans that are offered.
