Provided by YP.comHorrible Service, Ridiculous Fees. My roommates and I were very interested in living here, but were questioning the $200.00 per person “Redecorating Fee” that’s required within 30 days of signing your lease. The only place this fee is mentioned in writing is in the lease, where it states that the fee must be paid before you can move into your apartment. The people working were rude, including management, with the exception of one girl. When we asked to see a lease the guy told us we could just ask him questions because he was obviously too lazy to just print one out. He also kept calling the redecorating fee a “security deposit” which it is NOT- do not be fooled, you DO NOT get that money back. My roommates and I looked over the lease, where in two different sections it mentioned that 1) tenants would be charged upon moving out for carpet cleaning, and 2) tenants would be charged upon moving out for repainting. Um, is that not what you told us would be included in the “redecorating fee”?? None the less, it’s not worded that way in the lease. Nowhere did it say that those charges would be taken from the fee you paid at signing. The manager was not helpful what so ever, although she knew we weren’t happy with the service we were receiving because the jerk working in there said something to her and looked in our direction. We had to approach her and ask if she was the manager, hoping we could get some reasonable answers to our questions. Her answers were just as bs as the guy’s. When she told us that the fee was to repaint and clean normal wear and tear I asked her was that not the landlord’s responsibility? Her response was no. Just because I’m a student, don’t think I’m STUPID-I read the North Carolina Landlord/Tenant Lease laws before I came in and spoke to you. Maybe you should read them too.

Provided by YP.comCopper Beech looks fantastic. But it's not. These units were thrown up in a months time in the cheapest fashion, and it shows. The unit will break no matter how lightly you tread, and it could take weeks and tens of repair orders before you see any kind of maintenance guy. The rent is way too high for what you get, moving into a house downtown would be cheaper. Also, do not expect to get your security deposit back. Our unit was in good shape (expect for what happened naturally and we reported) and we got nothing back. In fact, I haven't heard of anyone getting their deposit back (Remember the deposit is $419 per person, or $1676). Avoid this place, they just want you and your parent's money. Don't be the next sucker college kid to have his bank account emptied by greedy land lords.
