The Belmont Fire Department works to provide fire prevention and suppression and emergency control services. It is comprised of more than 30 fire academy instructors, rescue and emergency medical technicians, hazardous material technicians and paramedics, as well as has over 20 volunteers. The department utilizes a fleet of rescue trucks, special operation units and command vehicles. The Belmont Fire Department also maintains a training division and offers various employment opportunities to citizens.
