Provided by YPmobileHere's my story I was working for BMW and kept having frequent tight chest pains, I went to the ER they took my blood pressure my diastolic was up obviously elevated they did a kg on me it was OK and then they asked me how long have I been having these enzyte attack, I replied the chest pains are new to me within the last month and this is the worst it has been this is the first time I've been to the ER in over 30 years and being in my early forties my symptoms are concerning me. I asked them if they could do a basic blood panel on me to see if anything comes up, they refused, handed me a pamphlet and read a script telling me to seek mental health and that someone will be calling because obviously whatever is going on is in my head because the ekg is fine. To say that I was insulted was an understatement and extremely disappointed that they could not take 30 seconds just to listen to me I waited at 2 o'clock in the morning on the weekday and they would not busy so I can understand why no one seemed to care to listen, instead they quickly dismissed all of my concerns that I went to the ER for and basically called me crazy. I had to wait 2 more weeks to get appointment with my practitioner for him to do a basic blood panel. the test came back with a TSH of 29.8 all of my symptoms was explained because my thyroid stopped working and I was put on Synthroid and all of my chest pains went away. I feel that Greenville has a a large number of competent doctors but on the downside if you need immediate care and go to the ER they are not going to listen to you all you will get is a bill. Off of my lack of confidence in the first line of health care Greenville hospital systems ER me and my family have located to Colorado where I am now working in the role of a restorative nurse so when I tell you that the health care is lacking I have a little bit of experience in this field. Greenville is a wonderful place but if you are not from Greenville and are planning on moving there make sure that you have all of your health care arranged ahead of time and hope that you do not have to go to the ER, thank you

Provided by YP.comI have had five surgeries at Greenville Memorial, out of the five I had to be readmited for surgical infections after four. The last infection they gave me was a mesh infection, which caused months of pain and required another surgery. The ER is great. The OR is horrible, if you need surgery, look else where!

Provided by YP.comThe staff treat you more like a number than an actual human being. The nurses and doctors and rude and they act like they dont know whats going on. When I had my son here they forgot to bring my meals to my room so i would go all day without food and have to call my family to bring me something. I also had to be put on anti-biotics and they gave me the one that I was allergic to and then they said it was there mistake for not reading my records. What doctor doesnt read a patients records?? They are very careless and I wouldnt recommend this hospital to anyone.
