We placed my husband's grandmother at this facility about 10 weeks ago. The facility was always clean and never smelled of urine or anything else. (The food has room for improvement, but she didn't eat much so didn't affect us so much.)It was the best decision for her and after 2 weeks there, his grandmother apologized for ever fighting against the move and exclaimed her peace with being there, stating she knew she was well taken care of at Heartland. She passed this last weekend and the staff was simply wonderful. A special shoutout to Kacey (Admissions for handling all our numerous questions), Skyler (SW - ditto on the questions), Chelsea, Julia, Angela and without question the one who was there on her last day, Onjela! Thank you all.

This is absolutely the best place I have worked. Everyone works as a team to make patient care the #1 priority! Even though the building is older than some of the other skilled nursing facilities in the area, the work staff is what makes East stand out against all the competitors. We treat our patients like family and will do everything we can to help them feel at "home".

My Great Grandmother was treated horribly there. She had bones broken and bed sores all the time. I've come in to see the staff eating my Grandmother's lunch and not feeding her. There are a few good employees there but 98% of them are useless. We were using the hospice there called "Heartland Hospice", They were no help at all and lied to us several times. They did not provide pain medications when she started the dying process, They were ordered at 3p and didn't arrive until 1:15am the next day..after she died. She died a horrible death there, the only comfort was her family by her side. I feel bad for all of the people who have to live there. The minute you walk in the door life is sucked out of you. Please, Please consider another facility. Don't make the same mistake as us. These people lack compassion
