Jason Guichard, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist with special interests including cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Guichard earned his medical degree and his PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. He also completed two fellowships at the University of Alabama at Birmingham: one in cardiovascular disease and the other in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. Dr. Guichard is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the following three areas: internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. He is also board certified in adult comprehensive echocardiography from the National Board of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
