I came here because of the ratings, thought I was in good hands. I have been struggling to make ends meet since I moved here, so upon entering the office during my first and only visit, I made it clear I only wanted services covered 100% by my insurance (Tier I services). They assured me when I entered that would not be a problem. Throughout my visit, each time they told me what they needed to do, again I reminded them, only if insurance covered 100%. They assured me until I left that my visit was no cost to me, unless I opted to get a needed filling through them, then and only then would I be billed for my deductible. Great first visit!

Then I received a bill. My insurance explained this was for an unneeded (Tier II) service. The regular set of xrays was covered 100%, but the glorified, unauthorized set of xrays was my financial responsibility. I explained this to several employees at Stone Lake. Their response? Stonewall me. They came back with same answer no matter what I said. They were right and I was wrong, regardless of the evidence proving otherwis, and my insurance backing me. It was just as frustrating as trying to reason with a small child; it cannot be done. When a business turns their back on a customer and refuses to see logic and reason, it really is time to take a step back and take a hard look at their values, or shut their doors for good.

Every time I walk through the door at Crawford I am treated like a member of their family. They really do care about each and every one of their patients!
