Located in Greenville, S.C., Mitchell Road Elementary School is a national Blue Ribbon School that offers a range of educational programs to more than 530 students in kindergarten through grade five. Established in 1966, it offers a variety of academic subjects, including social studies, science, mathematics, English and physical education. The school also offers accelerated reading, gifted and talented education, literature enrichment, terrific kids and peer tutoring programs. Mitchell Road Elementary School organizes a variety of programs, including science fairs, mustang minutes morning news shows, science nights, quarterly awards programs, reading nights, special theme days and talent shows. Its campus includes a media center, music laboratory, gymnasium, cafeteria, television production studio and courtyard with an outdoor stage.
