My loved one was neglected on a recent stay. She was left on a bedpan and forgotten about and ended up with three wounds to her bottom. One wound was through 3 layers of skin. Second wound was through 2 layers of skin and third wound was through 1 layer of skin. Kindred's explanation of this neglect was that they were short staffed. This treatment mentioned above was the worst of the worst to my loved one. Other treatment she received from some of the staff was nasty attitudes and nasty treatment. I never slept good the entire time she was there and several times would have to go there or send another loved one there at once to oversee why she was being treated so nasty. I was so glad when she was finally released to the nursing home because she will never ever go back to Kindred Hospital.
