Christine Swenson has practiced law for more than 20 years. She was a prosecutor in Tucson, Arizona, and in the suburbans of the Denver metro area for more than six years when she changed her focus to education. During her time as a professor, she concentrated on criminal law, constitutional law, and the criminal judicial process where she perfected her ability to explain complex legal issues to those with little to no background in law or the court system. She has been a vocal supporter of victims rights throughout her career. A native of New York, Christine has lived in Tucson, Arizona; Salamanca, Spain; Washington, D.C.; San Diego, California and, currently resides just outside Denver, Colorado. These locations have one thing in common: a significant immigrant population. Christine recently opened her own practice as a result of her work with victims of crime and the opportunity for them to obtain a U Visa. This work has reignited her passion for immigrants and the struggles and prejudices they face in the United States, which prompted her to focus her practice exclusively on immigration law. Christine lives in Littleton, Colorado, with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family enjoying all that Colorado has to offer. Christine enjoys snowshoeing and freely admits skiing is not her sport; she pokes fun at herself saying it's better for everyone else that I don't ski.

I have known Christine Swenson for few years now, first as an interpreter for Christine while she was working through RMAIN as a volunteer attorney helping a client through some difficult times. Christine then told me about her work at Mi Casa in Denver, Colorado where she also offers clients expert legal advice pro-bono. I knew immediately that Christine was an attorney dedicated to helping her clients through the maze of the U.S. legal system, and with Christine both the paying clients and the clients she works with pro-bono receive the same expert attention. Further, I have had the privilege of listening to Christine during the many educational seminars she has given take her audience step by step through the immigration process in such a way that even with the most complicated issues, all had a better understanding.

Not only does Christine draw on her extensive trial court knowledge as on former Deputy District Attorney and former law professor, Christine makes it part of her routine to keep up with all the details of the ever changing immigration issues and to put her clients at ease, Christine also speaks Spanish. Immigration law is extremely complicated and from what I have witnessed first-hand, Christine Swenson is the Immigration Attorney of choice.
