The Kirk Academy, chartered as the Grenada Educational Foundation in 1966, is named after W. H. Kirk. It is a private school that offers Christian-based, college preparatory education to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school has a more than 65-acre campus that includes a gymnasium, A. R. Smithers Library, football stadium, school buildings, practice football fields, and softball and baseball complexes. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, history, math and science. The school involves students in several sports activities, such as football, basketball, cheerleading, softball, baseball, golf, track and field and tennis. The Kirk Academy is located in Grenada, Miss., and is accredited by the Mississippi Private School Association and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
