Best haircut I've had since moving to the area 9 years ago! I had gone to the same barber in LA for over 30 years and he retired. Only Lang has been able to provide as good a haircut as my previous barber. I hope she stays at it for a long time. I hate change!

Great hair cut

I saw the sign out in front of The Best Little Hair House in Gresham and it put a smile on my face so I decided to give them a try. I'm happy I did because I got the best hair cut I've had in years. The stylist went to great lengths to make sure I got the style I had in mind. I've got them in my contacts and will continue to go there.

First of all, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TO GET YOUR HAIR CUT! I got my hair cut the other day by a woman named Heather. I showed her a picture of the style that I wanted my hair cut in ( BTW, I have had my hair successfully cut this way prior to going to this particular "salon" ), I specifically asked her if she could do the cut and she said yes.

HOWEVER, that was not the case, in fact, what she gave me looks nothing like the picture -- not even remotely like it!. Furthermore, she didn't use professional cutting techniques, such as sectioning off the hair first, she didn't use thinning shears, which is a necessary tool to achieve the style I wanted and this is something that she should have already known how to do ( if she were a "professional" hairdresser ).

The cut she did was far from professional and I could have gone to a beauty school or Super Cuts and gotten a better cut -- SERIOUSLY! My bangs are "chopped", way shorter on one side and they don't blend into my hair on the sides -- the bangs were supposed to be longish and side-swept, however, because they are so short, they stick up and couldn't possibly be styled to sweep to the side. Furthermore, I was supposed to have long layers with shaping and height around the top -- not so.

This morning I called the salon and asked to speak to the owner, but was given the bum's rush, told the owner wasn't there and when I asked when she would be there, the woman hung up on me. I called back and someone calling herself "Kelly" ( pretty sure she was lying about her name ) said she was the owner, however, I finally got it out of her that I wanted to speak to the "real owner", she then gave me her name and number, name being Lang Tran. All-in-all, I just wanted to speak to the owner about getting my hair fixed or my money back -- obviously, they don't want to do that for their customers here.

Funny thing is that the first time I called, I spoke to an Asian woman ( the one who hung up on me ), when I finally spoke with the real owner I could tell it was the same person I spoke with before!!! How freaking professional is that?! I asked her why they were being so evasive and lying to me about the owner -- her excuse was this "everyone's the owner here" -- right :\ SMH. Obviously they are used to unhappy customers and instead of dealing with the problem, they evade and beat around the bush -- in a nutshell, they are dishonest and unethical, out for themselves and don't care about the customer. This type or behavior is also a clue that they have had many dissatisfied customers.

All of that being said, if you want decent, honest service and a good hair cut -- my advice to you is think twice.
