Provided by YPmobileTony the Tiger is being held against Louisiana law and is being abused each day he stays enclosed in that cage. He paces back and forth an is MISERABLE! HE SHOULD, BY LAW BE RELEASED TO A HUMANE REHABILITATION HABITAT!!!! If the owner has even an ounce of compassion for this majestic animal he has abused for more than 12 years, he would begin the process of releasing Tony to a much better habitat. in the mean time, no matter how good people think his food is, I urge everyone to not eat at the truck stop restaurant!

Provided by YPmobileThe food was great, as promised by other reviews, but the outside could really use a power wash! It was so dirty, we hesitated about going in. The people were nice and efficient. The restrooms could use an upgrade too.
I've driven by this place for 40 years and never stopped, but I would stop again if I had the chance.
Cannot comment on the tiger controversy -- we did not take the time to see it.

Provided by YP.comThis truck stop has a real tiger on display under cruel and blatantly illegal conditions. Here is a partial quote from an animal welfare group's webpage: "In all cases, most people exclaim, ........................."How can that be legal?"
Turns out it isn't. Unfortunately, a lot of places allow this sort of disgraceful exhibit, but Iberville Parish, where the truck stop is located, has banned such displays since 1993. So why is there a live tiger in a tiny cage next to the gas pumps in this 24 hour truck stop? Because the Iberville Parish doesn't want to enforce their own rules against "one of their own."
Big Cat Rescuers visited the site and noted that the fumes were noxious and the sound of the dieseling trucks was deafening and unrelenting. There are flood light's on the tiger's cage so that he never has a minute of darkness and never gets a moment of peace from those who yell at him and throw things at him to make him move.
