I've never done any type of negative post before but I'd like to warn everyone and hope that you don't go through what we are. We hired Varing Home Solutions to fix structural issues, siding and new windows after Harvey. Our contract called for 1/2 up front and 1/2 on completion. We had paid the 1/2 and the owner Justin Varing had personal financial issues. After 3 weeks of not showing up at all he comes and tells us the only way he will be able to continue is if we front him another 10k for him to be able to buy siding which we had already paid for. He said that would be enough to purchase all the supplies and pay his crew to totally complete the job. We felt stuck and like we had no choice but to give him the money or risk further damage to our home due to the old siding already being stripped and exposed to the weather. After 2 weeks and maybe a weeks worth of work (done improperly at that) he demanded another $5600 (not included in the existing contract) paid in full prior to any further work continuing. We told him we would not give him anymore money until the job was completed. He said he couldn't do the job. Tried saying we violated the contract by refusing to give him more money. (That's obviously a lie) so the work his company has done has been wrong. And most is nowhere near completed. They started hanging new hardie board siding around the windows leaving gaping holes. They pulled old siding off and left it for a month and a half now causing it to rain into my brand new sheetrock in my kitchen. And just left it. My house is so much worse since he touched it and now we are robbed of our money and cant hire someone else to fix it.
