Jim, the pharmacist, is always ready and able to help you with ANY problem. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Also this store has a wonderful array of jewelry and gift ware. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I don't know what this person's problem was, perhaps the laws in Alabama are different from where they live. I have done business with Island Drugs for more than 3 years and would not consider using any other pharmacy. We always receive FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND PROMT SERVICE. Anytime we have needed a prescription filled a day or so early, whether we were going to be out of town or we were simply going to be in town and it was a convenience (we live about 20 miles away), Jim has ALWAYS been more than happy to accommodate us. The gift and jewelry selection is excellent and includes free gift wrap (the ladies do a beautiful job!). I would give Island Drugs TEN STARS if it were an option. Trust what a "local" has to say....... ISLAND DRUGS IS #1 in Gulf Shores!

This pharmacy wouldn't even get 1 star but i HAD to chose which one otherwise it wouldn't let me write anything. So this Pharmacy gets a big fat 0 stars.



My experience at Island Drug was aweful. I have Fibromylasia and I came to Gulf Shores, AL to enjoy the beach and sun and forget about my pain. This pharmacy made my life miserable. He wouldn't let me get my perscriptions when the insurance company said i could. He acted like my father or the drug police and called my Dr. after I brought him all these documents from my Dr., my previous pharmacist and myself showing him what I take with the dosages and my diagnoses. No where did it say that i had to wait 30 days to get each persciption and if he wanted it that way he would have put that in the letter. You know how you most insurance companies let you get your script about 3 days before you run out well mine let me get mine when it was 75% gone and he didn't abide by that. i've been on the same medication for 10 years, what gives him the right to say when I get my scripts? He went out of his way to make my life miserable. And when I transfered to a different pharmacy he wrote on my perxcriptions "not to fill untill such and such a date", He made my stay here in Gulf Shores, AL hell!
