About Us Health Nuts is a local family business owned by Mike and Valerie Pitalo. We are located in Gulfport, Mississippi on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast. Prior to buying Health Nuts in May 2013, we were customers at the store and were very excited about the opportunity to own a business whose main purpose is to help people live a healthier lifestyle. We believe in supporting our local farmers and businesses and are currently carrying local organic fruits & vegetables, free range organic eggs, honey, grass fed beef, milk, cheese and butter, as well as soaps and lotions. We pride ourselves on offering our customers a friendly atmosphere and personalized service. They are very important to us and we treat them like family, greeting everyone who enters our store. We also offer a customer reward program and a military discount. We are very proud to have won the Sun Herald 2014 People's Choice Award as the Favorite Health Food Store on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We appreciate all the support we have received from our loyal customers and are very proud of the impact we have had in only 2 years. We look forward to serving the coast for many years to come.

Mickey is very knowledgable and friendly - I usually stop in for some green superfoods and Kombucha, but tend to pick up a little extra each time from her new selections. It looks a little small from the outside, but they've figured out how to fit a decent amount of product, so you should be able to find what you're looking for. And if you can't, she will probably order it for you!

Since there is NOTHING on the Gulf Coast, I have been looking EVERYWHERE for a Health Food Store for grocery items, cleansing products & supplements, and up until this one, I only knew about one--almost 45 minutes from my house. I FINALLY found Health Nuts & decided to try it. TOTALLY GREAT. It is LITERALLY 5 minutes from my house, the staff is VERY friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning and have told all of my friends/relatives to go there, too. They have a fairly good selection, and said they are even planning on getting more stuff if their business picks up, so make sure ya'll go and tell everyone to check this out!
