As I'm sitting here waiting for my couch to be delivered. I am still fuming about the experience we have had with this company. Upon entering the store we were not greeted or asked if we needed assistance for at least 20 minutes by anyone at all. Most sales associates were seen lounging casually on the show furniture talking among themselves, one associate was even applying make-up. Another sales associate was actually helping a customer, but the fact that she was obnoxiously smacking her chewing gum must have costed her a sale. The couple the associate had been helping stopped us on the way out and asked if we had any gum she could smack. That should have been when we left too but Rooms To Go has a large variety and we were in a time crunch on needing furniture. Finally we were asked if we needed help from a woman sitting across the room reclined in a couch scrolling through her tablet. We took her offer and began picking out our furniture. At first everything seemed like it was going well. We gave our associate our budget and she helped us find items that fit our needs. At one point we had discussed financing so we could also purchase a bedroom set and a dining room table. We applied and were approved. We opted out of the bedroom set and dining room table and ended up going with just a mattress and couch. The couch was $1200 and the mattress was $1000. We were both very shocked that our "grand total" was over $3000 dollars. This was after our associate had "reduced" our shipping from over $300 to $174. After asking why the price was so much different from what we added up she informed us that WE didn't take into consideration taxes and such. Being very aware of taxes that we pay on a daily basis we also learned that the two mattress pads our associate "threw in" the package were $70 a piece. After she had made them seem complimentary and knew we had a budget to stay under. We also learned about the protection we had to have on our couch that was $40 dollars for EACH part of our sectional. They broke our sectional into 4 pieces making the ottoman a separate piece. So all of the sneaky ad-ins ended up being an extra $300. Then came the delivery fiasco. They said the next available delivery date was a week away. We needed our furniture asap and told them about the issue. They offered express delivery for no extra charge to find out that express delivery was only 2 days before the expected delivery date. We ended up picking up our mattress from their location in Pearl River where we witnessed a joke of a shipping warehouse. Employees were busy throwing tape at each other and avoiding having to load trucks in the rain. Before loading I went to see the mattress set. There were holes all over the plastic. They informed me they would tape it up so it wouldn't get wet. They did a horrendous job with the tape and still left holes in the plastic. Then we waited 30 minutes for our one mattress set and metal box spring to be loaded when we were 1 out of 2 customers at the loading docks. And let me assure you they were not shorthanded on staff. Lastly, last night a man who spoke so quickly it was hard to believe he was speaking english left us a voice-mail confirming our delivery time from 7am-10pm. Now we are waiting and have been for 6 hours for our couch to arrive during a 15 hour time window. Save your time and your money.

Provided by YP.comWe had a horribly bad experience with this store. We live in Jackson, Mississippi, 150 miles away. We wanted to order a chair that we had picked out earlier. We called the store and asked the clerk, Susan Sarna, if we could place our order with a credit card and drive to the warehouse and pick it up. She said the chair was in stock but we had to crive to the show room to place the order. Se we drove the 150 miles to the gulfport show room. On arrival, Susan told us that the chairs in stock had all been sold out. She got Jeremy Monroe, assistand manager and he told us we had two options. 1) Order the chair and pay $ 400 to have it delivered. 2) Order the chair and come back down to the Gulfport store when it comes in. Both of these options were completely unaccepatble. We inquired as to whether the chair could be delivered for free. We were told that the delivery was handled by an independent third party and could not be waived. This is the most stupid business plan I have ever seen. I will never set foot in this store again. Fortunately, we were find another company on line that has the same chair at the same price and we were able to order it and get free delivery.
