It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, weĆ¢??re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you - our friends - leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

We were really very disappointed in the last three or four visits to the Shrimp Basket on Hwy 49 in Gulfport. the shrimp keeps getting smaller and smaller and the last ones I got were like eating rubber. We used to eat there several times a month. Too many changes in the way the food is prepared and quality. I hate that, because we really looked forward to eating there. Our waitress argued with me the last time I was in, correcting me about the food. I eat there all the time and eat the same thing, nevertheless you never argue with the customer. Some of the wait staff are excellent, some not. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be back.

I have never been to this establishment. But I've been to the one in Destin Florida and had nothing but a wonderful experience. I will be in Biloxi next week and I absolutely plan on going to this shrimp basket here in Gulfport. The food that I had at the shrimp basket in Destin was absolutely delicious and I could not stop talking about it. Their Po'boys were to die for! To the review that stated that they came in at 8:30 PM and the place closes at 9 PM, was looking for trouble. You should never try to have dinner 30 minutes before establishment closes.

TERRIBLE

We just left the Gulfshores establishment. This was our first attempt trying the shrimp basket. We will NOT return. We walked in at 8:25pm. Our order was taken promptly, drinks and appetizer served within a reasonable amount of time, and then the wait began. We finally left at 9:40pm because we were starving, and the promise of "your food will be out shortly" was not actually filling any bellies of my family. We were not the only unsatisfied customers either. There were several other people that left with cancelled orders as well. Our waitress was polite, but I am not fond of multiple excuses with no results. The manager is not a good manager. He stayed on the phone the majority of the time we were there. When we had finally had enough and were leaving, he copped an attitude saying "we're bringing out your food right now!" We waited another 45-60 seconds, and he never made any attempt to deliver food to our table.

If your establishment does well, I do not see how. If tonight was an isolated event, then you lost several potential future customers.
