Provided by YP.comHello Everyone, Just went to this place week before last and got ripped off. I am staying in Guthrie for the summer. I am a college student. I had a low tire and went there to get it "fixed" and they told me there was a nail in my tire. When I first walked in the store no one wanted to greet me and when someone finally did, thats when they looked at it and told me what was wrong. They told me that there was a nail in my tire and charged me about 21.99 not including tax. The gentleman that supposedly worked on my car but never did came back out of the garage after about 30 or 35 mins, put my keys on the front counter, walked right past me and didn't say a word. I got back in my car, drove it back to Texas where I'm from to visit. My dad checked my tires again before my return to Guthrie and noticed there was still something wrong with the tire pressure. He goes to a local tireshop and they find the nail was still in my tire and only charged 7 dollars to fix my tire. If you are a female and you go here alone to get your car fixed please be careful. They may try to rip you off like they did me. If you can just go somewhere else.

Provided by YP.comWe have traveled to Guthrie from Wyoming several times and they have taken care of our tires while we were there. Both times we had quick fast service. They checked all of our tires and fixed a flat. Gave us piece of mind all the way back to Wyoming.
Thanks Guys

Provided by YP.comI recently took my Explorer into Big O in Guthrie, OK. There was nail in the tire, and it was going flat. I drove 1.5 miles to Big O and was told it could not be fixed. They sold me 2 new tires to replace both back tires. I asked how long it would take and was told a half hour. I gave them my cell phone # and I left with my daughter to get coffee. I called after 45 min. and was told it would be another half hour and that they were really backed up. Really? They were the ones that told me half an hour.1 2 hours after I left the car they called. When I returned I proceeded to pay for the tires with my business check. They ran it through the check approval machine and was informed that it did not clear. The manager says it happens alot with their system. I asked why the check did not clear and the man had no idea. They are suppose to get an error message and tell the customer. He said he didn't know how to do that. I called my bank to check my balance. I had over $4,000.00 on deposit in my checking account, more than enough to cover the $190.00 charge. The bank officer talked to the manager and he still refused my check. I have been in business for 24 years and the check was locale and verified by a bank manager. The Big O manager still refused to take my check. He said he would get someone to drive me to the bank to get the cash. How humiliating is that! To be driven by A mechanic to my bank to get cash! I said "no" that he could just put my old tires back on and I would go where they would take my check. Lessons learned: Don't do business with a big national companys who don't give their managers authority to over ride a machine. I will only deal with local businesses from now on.

Provided by YP.comWhile I was in the lobby at the Guthrie location, an older gentleman came in. He had been told on the phone that they carried Cooper tires. The manager proceeded to tell him, "well, we don't carry Cooper. but, we carry something just as good".
They've tried to swindle two of my family members. So, they won't go there any more. And, they told me that the reason my car had a vibration was because I had a bent wheel. I saw it on the balancer. And, it looked aweful. so, I bought new wheels. Didn't fix it. Turns out both front tires were separated. The worker just didn't properly put the wheel on the balancer. When I went back, he tried to tell me that it would take a week to get tires in so they could warranty it out. I went to the Edmond location. They told me that it was a croc, and there was no reason it should take a week. They were curteous, and helpful at the edmond location. Now Guthrie is under "new management". But, it's some of the same people.
So, if you want to use Big O, and you live in Guthrie, you'll be better off driving to Edmond.
