The Haines City Police Department-Detective Section is supervised by a sergeant and various detectives who investigate felony cases. It employs a secretary who maintains computerized felony assignment logs, transcribes taped statements and handles correspondences. The division is supported by a special operations division that conducts investigation and processes crime scenes. It is comprised of detective, identification and crime reduction sections. The Haines City Police Department also operates patrol, administration and K-9 units. The department supports Explorer and School Resource Officer programs. It is recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). In addition, the Haines City Police Department offers fingerprint identification services. It is located in Haines City, Fla.
