Frontier Middle School, located in Hamburg, N.Y., offers classes to students in grades six through eight, has an enrollment of more than 1,400 students and is a part of the Frontier Central School District. Its program ensures a successful transition from the self-contained classroom structure of an elementary school to the departmentalized structure of a high school, while providing support and direction. The school provides a comprehensive educational program, including core subjects, such as mathematics, language arts, social studies and science. Additionally, it offers other courses, such as art, music, computer studies and a foreign language. Community service projects are part of each grade. Its extracurricular activities include interscholastic and intramural sports, and various student clubs and organizations, such as its art, audiovisual, book and chess clubs; history, math and Web teams; student newspaper; yearbook; and student council.
