Rhyme time is an excellent child care center that is run by a very dedicated, attentive and knowledgeable husband and wife team. My son had attended another corporate daycare prior to this and we are much happier at rhyme time with the level of care, respect and rapport with the staff/owners. The center is very clean and well taken care of inside and out. The building itself is very secure and they use an app that is great for communicating with them and receiving pics and updates. The teachers and staff are well trained and are excellent with the children including my older son who can exhibit challenging toddler behaviors at times. There is a high level of expectations for the staff and I believe they have a higher standard for their employees than many other centers. Anika,the center director, and her husband Dane are so approachable and responsive to all of my concerns and are receptive to any and all feedback. Both of my kids love rhyme time and look forward to going there every day. I highly recommend rhyme time it is exactly what we needed in Hamden, a center that is safe, clean, reliable, friendly, fun and affordable!

I have three kids that attend rhyme time and they love it! The teachers there are excellent and very welcoming. Any request I have regarding my kids the teachers and director are quick to accommodate in a professional and courteous manner. The center is very neat and clean compared to other centers that I have toured! That was a huge plus for us because we have a daughter in the infant room and cleanliness was a must on our list. It's a very safe and well secured center and the staff is amazing. The way my kids are greated every morning and the way my kids react when they see their teacher is very reassuring. It lets me know that they are being taken care of. Also being able to send a message to my kids teacher any time of the day using the app they have is awesome. They are very quick to respond and I get pictures and updates throughout the day. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking for childcare.

Tried giving them a chance because they are a newer center, but they are just unorganized and unprofessional. On top of my child getting bit twice in the face within three days, with little reassurance about preventing this issue from the director and staff, communication is very poor and inconsistent about everything, from who the lead teacher is, their actual sick policy, how often they are supposed to go outside, if my son’s diaper cream is being used in the lead teacher’s absence, etc. And if you express any concern, they are either very nonchalant or get defensive and have an attitude. Not worth the cost or convenience for my son’s safety or my sanity.
