until last year when I tried signing for a membership again. A long while ago when I lived in my apartment in hammond my ex b/f rented from here and ran up the bill with out me knowing. so years later after that I tried to sign up. They had told me that I owed them 50 dollars, I said no way, those were not from me, I had a different address, I never even had a personal account there or anything, and they were sticking me with the charges! I had gotten threats from them in my mailbox (no joke) that they were going to take me to court over somthing that was not even from me! So they tried cutting me a deal telling me that if I rented a movie there within 10 days they would only charge me $40. I was like no way in you know where. And if you have an account there, they won't let you rent at video oasis either if you have problems. Also a woman who works there was totally rude to me every time I came in, I'm assuming because she was jealous? who knows, and I even didnt realize that until my boyfriend said "do you know her? why is she always so rude to you when you come in?" the only thing this place is good for is their adult section which is 10 times bigger than thier normal dvd section. its a shame for having such variety they have such idiots working for them, a crying shame, wish I could go back.

I have been going to Video Escapades for many years now and I have to say that they are so much better than other chain vidoes stores around town. The staff are really into movies and can always be counted on to help give you a good opinon or summary about a movie.
