Jeff A. Burns (aka J. Burns, J. A. Burns, Jeffrey Burns) has several relatives in the area of Bangor and Brewer Maine, and while he may not be using the name Mainely Foundations any longer because of all recent bad reviews, ( he has racked up several negative reviews from others he has conned)
he may be working with or for, or bogusly using names of businesses owned by relatives who in that area.
So before hiring anyone with the name Jeff Burns, make sure you know who you are dealing with.
Burns of Bangor and Brewer area in Maine has recently used the business name Maine-ly Foundations as his business and I relied on Homeadvisor as well as independent positive online reviews of that company Mainely Foundations to confirm my choice when seeking to have foundation repairs done on my Maine home.
Burns/Mainely Foundations received total of $22,400 on a $26,800 contract. After causing damage and abandonment of a foundation repair contracted job in September 2018, we sought a judgement against him and were recently awarded $31K in damages and unearned income. It will be likely unrecoverable since the man has no assets and the liability insurance policy, while valid, will not comply unless he acknowledges the claim.
As a result, we have had to put out over $56K to repair said damages and complete the work of this bogus foundation expert.
Be cautious who you hire!
