I worked here at the front desk for one day. Within that day, I saw enough that told me I would not want to send my dog here, and therefore no longer represent the company.I was extremely uncomfortable with some of the behind the scenes handling I saw from staff members. Calling a client's dog "dumbass" or admitting that when cats don't come out of their cage they have to physically shake them out, and they hate when the owners are watching in the window is not okay in my book. That statement alone says a lot about how the animals are treated when the owners do not have a window to look through. Also, if you do not pay for a suite web-cam deal, your dog won't get checked on as often, I was told.Needless to say, I took a couple of days to think it over and decided if I'm not comfortable sending my dog here, I don't want to represent the company. It is a family owned business and Kirsten seems to really care about the animals, but when I called to talk over my decision she was very short with me and did not want to talk about any of the behind the scenes issues I had. Done with the company, and anyone who asks me will get the truth- there is a very two-faced attitude from many staff members.Don't tell me you hate "so and so" client and can't wait until they stop coming, but not three hours later exclaim, "___ had such a fantastic stay and we love him here, can't wait to see you back!"If I were the owner, having this be someone's take from being on staff for ONE DAY, I would have seemed a bit more concerned during our phone call.
