General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products is an operating unit of the General Dynamics Corporation, a systems integrator of defense products for all branches of the U.S. Department of Defense. GDATP designs, develops and produces armament systems, a full range of composite products for the aerospace industry, biological and chemical detection systems, sensor and vision-enhancement systems and mobile shelter systems. In 2005, the company received a contract for reactive armor for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. In 2006, GDATP received a contract to develop and produce remotely controlled improvised explosive device electronic countermeasure systems. The company has nine facilities nationwide. Its executive office is in Charlotte, N.C. Its other operations are in Charlotte; Burlington and Jericho, Vt.; Saco, Maine; Stone County, Miss.; Marion, Va.; Lincoln, Neb.; and Camden, Ark.
