I am writing this on behalf of my elderly mother. My mom and dad ( who has passed) had this business shingle the roof on their home April of 2002. They were satisfied with the work at that time. The shingles used were guaranteed for 25 years. Approximately 2 years ago (2014) it was noticed that the shingles had burned by the weather and were "flaking" . After many calls to the business someone came to check it out and my mother was told that this was rare and he had only seen it one other time. He also told her he would have the representative of the shingle company come check it out. That never happened, and she never heard from this business again, after many unsuccessful attempts to contact them. My mother's attorney sent a letter to the company, again, no reply. I feel this is very poor business practice to not honor what was paid for. My mother is not a wealthy woman and this is a huge expense for her to repair. She should be reimbursed for the reshingling of her roof!!
