Called five times the Hannibal family dollar on June 14th around 2 PM. No one answered even after I let it ring for almost five minutes( that is what my phone showed when I looked at it when I went to hang up after calling them and got no answer either by pressing three or by waiting for an associate or someone to pick up and answer or maybe even get a message machine or something telling me to call back later cause they are busy. Nope no answer at all. When I do go over there, their store is full of unopened shipped store items that need to be put on the shelves and there is maybe one person working at one time anytime I do shop there and most of the time they are never even around to be by the register and if you have to ring the bell to get someone they do not like it. You have to search for a staff member and work around the piles of merchandise that is in the isles and everywhere. I have lived in Hannibal Missouri near this stores area for the past almost 30 years and I have seen a lot of stores come and go in that area of their store building( used to be just a grocery store named Nationals way back when. The family dollar store here I have heard has been bought out by Dollar Tree. I guess I will just have to go to Walmart anyway the stuff you get at Walmart is better and cheaper and a better selection and they have handicapped equipment like wheelchairs and electric carts and benches to actually sit on and use. As family dollar has taken theirs out due to costs and to people smoking or begging from them for stuff and loitering I have heard. They are cheap and convenient at times but you pay in other ways in quality and selection and ease of shopping especially for elderly or physically challenged people. When you have to call a cab or Oats even ,where can you possible sit and wait for your ride? I am sorry to sound like a negative Nancy kind of person but I tell it like it is and I hope if you go to this place your visit is a much better one than mine.
