Care Pro was hired to provide 24 hour in-home care for my elderly parents for a period of years at great expense. We found the quality of care to be inconsistent.



Some Care Pro caregivers were excellent, but others were, in our opinion, completely unacceptable. One appeared to be living in her motor vehicle when not providing care in the home. Another seemed to have a serious personality disorder which caused her to intrude upon private family conversations and to babble incessantly.



And, items went missing from the home during the period of care. My father's solid gold signet ring was stolen and subsequently recovered from the home of one of Care Pro's care givers. My dad's gold ring disappeared again near the end of my father's life, as did his handgun and a 1 oz. gold coin. When I attempted to discuss reimbursement for the loss with John Kreider, husband of General Manager Vicki Kreider, he called me an "a**hole" on the phone.



Perhaps worst of all, a caregiver called the police one night when my 83 year old father was upset. I never understood why the caregiver did not call me rather than taking the extreme and humiliating measure of calling the police. After all Care Pro is in the business of caring for the elderly and should know that old folks sometimes become confused and difficult to deal with. This event was horrifying for the family.



Needless to say, I do not recommend Care Pro for care of the elderly in your family.
