I purchased a puppy from them 9/3. within 4 days this dog had severe pneumonia, rushed him to the ER, Vet told me he was near death and had i not brought him in he would have died. They wanted to keep him a few days, put him on IV and antibiotics until he was well enough to go home. I called Jocelyns, spoke with the owner he 1st stated that the dog was healthy when it left etc. I told him the vet said that there was no way that the puppy developed that serious respiratory infection in 3days, the Vet told me it is very common for a puppy that has a weaker immune system than its litter mates to get something that they did not..for all i know the puppies may have been sick also. the owner told me to bring the pup back and "make sure i got xrays on a disk for the breeder" he said that SEVERAL times, i also asked SEVERAL times if the vet fee was going to be reimbursed he said he would "talk to the breeder about it" so AGAINST the recommendations of the vet i took the puppy back to the pet shop. The owner said he was going to take him back and give IV fluids and medicine he had in the back right away, now my vet only gave the puppy oxygen and took xrays of him and tests due to the fact that the pet shop wanted him back to care for him and said to have him discharged. i called and requested to just get a refund for pup and vet bill which was $360 if anything at the very least the xrays he insisted i get to him. What got me wasthe responses. Comments insinuating i got the puppy sick,that they didn't have to refund me ANYTHING if they didn't want to. I filed a report with the Attorney Generals office, and better business bureau.Puppy was refunded after i told them i called the Attorney Generals Office. I sent the puppy back straight from the ER in what the er vet called near death condition friday morning, they reposted the puppy for sale by Monday morning. NO WAY that puppy was wellby then. the spca has been investigating them for years, multiple charges from the dog warden
