Hanscom Middle School, a part of the Lincoln Public Schools, provides classes to students in grades four through eight. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, social studies, science, math and foreign languages. The school also offers various sports, including soccer, football, basketball, swimming and wrestling. It has various programs that include world languages, arts and technology, health and human development, and media and information literacy. It also has programs for students with special needs, and has specialists, psychologists, social workers and speech therapists that assist students with disabilities. It has a media center that provides students with books, periodicals, computers and audiovisual resources. The school is operated by the Greater Johnstown School District. It is located in Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass.
