I am a very picky person when it comes to choosing people to care for my kids. When I came to smart beginnings it was different than all the other daycares in Killeen/Harker Heights. The building smelt and looked super clean. It didn’t smell like dirty diapers or spilt milk. My oldest daughter has been going for a year now and she loves it! And I love it too. She can’t wait to go in the mornings and is always asking when will she see Mina again. She is a very picky eater and they have worked their magic and have helped her try and eat new things. She comes home singing and dancing. She tells me everything she is learning and at 2 she is able to tell me letters. The staff is amazing and treat all the children loving no matter what they look like. My second daughter has recently started and I breastfeed her. I’ve had no problems at all dropping off my milk or picking her up for a minute to nurse her. They are 100% supportive with breastmilk or formula. Being a teacher at a early start school I have to drop my girls off early. And every morning I’m greeted with a bright smile. When I pick up my girls they are happy. And Mrs. Zanabria takes time to talk to me and ask about how my day was and tells me about how my girls were.
Maria, Mina and Roxi are amazing women who are such a blessing to my family. I highly recommend this daycare for your child.

Omg what can I say about smart beginnings.. Well let me start off by saying that my son has been going there since he was six weeks old and now he is four and has been loving it ever since. The ladies there are AWESOME !!! My son has learned so much going to smart beginnings from walking to potty training to learning his abc numbers and more to top it off Spanish. When I walk into the daycare I know from the start my son is in great hands. I highly recommend smart beginnings as your daycare of choice.. I wouldn't change them for the world !!!

I come to pick up my child different times of the day because i have a schedule that changes day to day with work and school. Everytime i walk in they are learning through singing and or playing. My son is a complete mamas boy however he has no problem being here because they treay him so good! I recommend this learning center to anyone.

My child has been attending this daycare since he was two weeks old. He is now three years old and will continue to learn and grow here. The staff treats my son as if he was their own. They've gone above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work schedule and the needs of my son. I've visited during the day multiple times and the kids are always so happy!

Do not take your child here unless you want to be discriminated against and be given no notice in needing to find other arrangements for your child! This is supposed to be a safe place for children and their parents, this place has not provided that and breaks the law!

Discriminates and declines based on your feeding choices, breastfeeding mothers beware, this place is not so friendly to your choices.

This center is absolutely fabulous.

I been going to the center for years and I absolutely love the people. I love the environment and organization my kids Love going everyday great place for fun and learning.

refusing to care for breastfed infants is illegal. If they can't follow the simplest of rules, it questions what OTHER laws they are breaking here? What's next? Refusing african Americans? Asian? Red haired? By all means do NOT send your kids here!

Incredibly disappointed with the actions of the staff here. A baby was denied care at the last minute because the mother wanted to breastfeed before and after pickup. This is illegal and saddening. Breastfeeding mothers are protected by law. This is an outrage. I do not recommend this place of business to anyone!

They dont care about laws so why would you leave your most precious with them? If you're looking for unreliable, discriminatory child care this is your place. If not, i would highly recommend to keep looking. I would never leave my child at a place like this.

I highly suggest you to not send your child to this establishment. Very judgmental supervision and not capable of handling a variety of children.

Avoid at all costs. Sending a last minute text on Friday to the parent telling them the facility "is not equipped to allow breastfeeding in our center, we don't have the space to accommodate your needs" and then refusing to communicate further when childcare was to begin on Monday morning is unprofessional. Refusing to care for a baby because they are breastfed? STAY AWAY.

Do not trust these people with your child. They run a childcare facility and are ignorant of the minimum requirements to legally operate in Texas. They shun and impede nursing moms from feeding their child; the wellbeing of kids in their care is not their priority. Shameful and illegal, I hope this place gets shut down.

Not in compliance with state law. Rejects infants without reasonable notice because they are breastfed. Staff is rude, ignorant, and unethical. Look elsewhere! Definitely not what I would consider quality child care.

Staff will tell you to take your child somewhere else If they know you breastfeed! Warning!!!!! Red flags!!! Don't go here!

What kind of place doesn't allow the most natural kind of child nutrition and won't even discuss with the mom/client. Wow. Not the kind of place I'd want my kids, breastfed or formula fed!

What kind of childcare facility doesn't allow babies who are breastfed?? Not only that, but the office staff is rude and waits until the last minute after week's off planning and tours to say, "My bad, we don't accept your kind here. Have a good weekend!". Seriously?!? I wouldn't let them take care of my dog!!

Not only does this facility not accommodate a breastfeeding mother, and her baby. They are extremely unprofessional!! Fire MS MARIA and find someone who can actually run this place ! ITS ILLEGAL TO TURN AWAY A BREASTFEEDING MOTHER.

This facility does not accommodate everyone. The staff is really rude. Don't take your children here. Wish I could leave no stars as a rating
