I really, really, really wanted to be able to give this establishment a 5-star rating. There is a lot to recommend Enoch's Stomp, including the warm "down home" cabin at atmosphere. I've been on a wine tasting event along the Rhine River in Germany, and a lot of wine in a lot of places, but Enoch's has my favorite. I love that we can eat on the porch, overlooking the winery, nestled in the deep woods of East Texas, and enjoy a meal. I also love the food, which is expertly prepared. I've had trouble with reservations twice, and both times we were eventually seated, but with a sigh, and an attitude that they were doing us a favor. And yes, there was plenty of room each time. Both times we had made reservations. So, I guess the lesson here is to call on the way to the restaurant and make sure the next person is aware of whatever the first person did or was supposed to do.

Wonderful, romantic and beautiful place to enjoy the wine and delicious food.
