I took my female rabbit to get sprayed here and I give it a 4 out of 5 stars because they don't have much experience with rabbits. The receptionist/technician will tell you to NOT feed your rabbit after midnight prior to the appointment so they will recite you the rules for dogs and cats spraying/neuter post and pre-op. Seriously I had a full discussion with the same technician on the phone and when I showed up at the office about whether or not the rabbit should be feed. You will not be able to talk to the veterinarian rabbit specialist because they told me that he is a mobile veterinarian and he only comes once a week per month to this hospital. And if you ask for his cell phone they will tell you that they "can't give his personal information". Nevertheless, I booked an appointment with them and I did end up following their instructions (against my better judgment) so I didn't feed her after midnight although I made sure she was had plenty to eat up until midnight (gave her all the greens, pellets and hay she desired). Also here in the RGV there are only 2 places that I could find that will do spray/neutering for rabbits (I can reassure you I called a lot of clinics) and they are Furry Friends Animal Hospital and North 10th Street Animal Hospital. I choose Furry Friends Animal Hospital because they cost way less then North 10th Street Animal Hospital. Furry Friends Animal Hospital charged me $145 for everything including the procedure, and Baytril injectable. They didn't give me any pain medication and I asked she could have some but they told me she didn't need it. North 10th Street Animal Hospital was going to charge $425 and I still need to begin her for a check up before they could schedule an appointment costing $125 plus I asked the technicians/receptionist the pre and post op rules and they give me the same dog/cat rules so that told me they there unexperienced too. They will tell that the reason why you reframe from giving food is because of the vomiting reflex but rabbits don't have a vomiting reflex and refraining from giving rabbits food will only hurt they since it could cause them to develop GI stasis and liver damage. http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/opcare.html (For more information on the proper pre- and post-op rules for rabbits). This was the first time I had my rabbit sprayed and I followed their rules because I, myself was inexperienced. If I could do it again I would have given her food and not let her starve because she didn't want to eat for almost 12 hours and this is very dangerous for rabbits, they need to maintain an active GI tract. I was very scared but I stayed with her and was giving her lot of love and trying to get her to eat after 11 hours she finally ate a little bit of pellets but it was something. She is now good and her wound healed properly although the first 3 days were a little touch and go in addition she didn't move for a couple of days. I did like that they wanted to know her progress so they will ask to bring them in again so they can check the wound after the first week then on the next two weeks and a month later thus a total of 3 check ups and they are free. Overall, the staff is friendly and the office was very nice and if I do end up getting another rabbit I would have it spray or neutered here I just personally wouldn't refrain from feeding my rabbit.

Dr. Jameson is fantastic. He cured my dog of parvo when the vet I normally go to told me to put her to sleep. I am forever grateful for his and the staffs caring touch. I recommend them to every one!! This is also the only clinic I've ever been to that I actually get to see the doctor EVERY time I go. :)

This place is a dream come true. Dr. Alexis and his staff are very knowledgable. The office is clean and welcoming and the prices are extreamly reasonable. My puppies are my children and mean the world to me. Dr. Alexis has never rushed me out and has always taken the time to answer all my questions. He's gone above and beyond in making himself available if I had any concerns of any kind. I feel he's not the typical "cold" vet. He's always concerned about my puppies well being and feelings as well as mine. I have been to other vets and they treat my puppy like they dont feel pain and they do not seem concerned what so ever. The Vet Assistant that mans the front desk is also amazing, she really knows her stuff. This place is a dream come true because a place like this allows us to ensure our pets get the care they need and what's best is that we can afford it without feeling financially stressed. Thank you for that. Keep up the great work.

Very clean establishment. Its the only vet office I've ever been in that doesn't stink like dirty dog. Great doctor and staff. Everything was explained to me very thoroughly. Very cheap prices!! We really needed a great place like this in Harlingen.

Not bad service however, I told the staff when I first came in about a spot on her stomach. I was told the cost would be $67 and it would include a checkup. upon leaving they told be the total was $97. For an office visit because although they didnt run any additional tests, there was something wrong with her. Sounds kind of fishy to me......

I took my dog and cat in for shots and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was so nice and I only spent half of what I normally do at my old vet. I'd recommend them to anyone.

This new clinic has great fees. They are much lower than all the other vets I've tried. Their office is state of the art and very welcoming.
