I was looking for a local shop to work on my 2000 Porsche 911. I found Momentum Automotive online and get them a try. Had some window issues addressed, starter changed and belts changed. They did a great job, very prompt (car was ready when they said it would be), the work was complete and correct and best of all it was done at a very reasonable price. I will definitely use Momentum in the future.

I stopped by this garage today to see if they could put new body side moldings on my Nissan Xterra. The owner came out and had me pull inside his garage and they put both on. I asked how much and owner said "no charge". I nearly fainted. I still offered and he said "I won't take your money". What a nice person. In this world today, I certainly am surprised to find really decent and kind people. This garage is one in a million. I will be back for my oil changes and anything else that crops up in the future. I will recommend to all my friends. Thanks

I have an 2001 jeep grand cherokee V-8, and it developed a transmission problem, wouldn't shift out of second gear. I took it to two different transmission shops for diagnosis, and after scanning and driving, they both told me they would have to overhaul the transmission! For $1500.00! I ran a repair shop not too long ago, and didn't agree with the opinion, so I called Momentum for a diagnosis. After a long time ( at least a half hour, for which I was not charged,) I was informed there was nothing phisically wrong with the transmission, it seemed to indicate an electrical problem. they wanted to do a better diagnosis and pull the oil pan off, so we set up an appointment the next day. To make the story shorter, when they pulled the pan off they found a screw and parts of a seal in the bottom, a valve spring retainer had come loose and let oil return to the pan, which they showed me. they repaired the valve body, put it back together and the problem was fixed! No pulling the transmission and putting in parts it didn't need! both trans shops said they would pull the transmission as soon as they had the car, no futher checks!

These fellows, by pulling the pan first, saved me $1100.00! For all the time the shop spent on my Jeep to fix the problem, I was pleasantly suprised when I paid the bill, also. Very reasonable. Thanks, you guys!

I bought my bmw straight from ...

I bought my bmw straight from the dealership and while I was in the process of buying the car (during test drive) I took the car to another shop to see if there was any problems. they documented all the problems when i finally got the vehicle home i had the car serviced, but the other shop said they did not have the oil filter in stock , but they noted on the work order the condittion. I took it to momentum automotive they charged me 565.81 to change the oil, filter, and radiator when it was time to do the next service I decided to do it myself when I took out the oil filter it was in more the 10 peices it had totally fell apart I couldn't beleive they didn't chang it but the other shop had made a note on the work order and the numbers on the old one now I have peices of filter all through my engine and the car was purchased directly from the dealership my advice dont trust them how do you know what has been done unless you make sure yourself!!!

Excellent Service

I've never had a positive experience with a dealership regarding vehicle repairs & maintenance. Living around the nation, in the past I either did the work myself or found a good (i.e., honest) independent facility for repairs. In Harlingen my choice is Momentum. They have performed quite a bit of maintenance on my vehicles, both 97's. I characterize my experiences as "fair prices, honest, quality work." I'm not in the dark with diagnosing vehicle problems. They've never tried to buffalo me. I'm impressed with their honesty. They're usually very busy, so other customers must feel the same way. Momentum has gained my confidence (and repeat business). I highly recommend.

Thanks for the thumbs up. We try very hard to do the best work we can. I intend to treat my customers the way I would want to be treated myself. Again Thanks. Buster Armstrong, Owner
