My pup was very ill and my other vet could not seem to get her in to help her. So I found Dr. Downey who nursed my babygirl back to health. I'm so thankful for her kindness and love of animals. If you a want a staff who truly cares about your animal this the place to go.

Dr Downey is a great Vet or should I say doned. Thanks to her work I still have my canine budy next

to me. Yea!

Dr. Downey is a kind and compassionate veterinarian. She took care of my parent's geriatric Jeepers dog in the latter part of his 14 year life. She diligently cared for his hepatic issues, anemia and ocular problems. If I had to refer someone to one of the most trusted veterinarians in the Rio Grande Valley, it would be Dr. Downey...hands down. She is an attribute to her profession!

My dog had skin lesions for years that no other vet was able to cure. Dr. Downey saw our dog for the first time for a routine visit and immediately spotted that our dog was hypothyroid. Now her skin lesions are gone and our dog is back to the energetic pet she had been years before. Thank you Dr. Downey.

I was excited about the opening of a new vet clinic so I took my little doggie in for shots. When a gentleman (who I assume was a vet tech) came in to take my dogs rectal temperature he did NOT put gloves on, exposing himself to germs from animal feces. He removed the thermometer and even though there was sink in the room he did NOT wash his hands. When he walked out of the room of course he had to use the same unclean hands to turn the door handle that he used to take my dog's rectal temperature. Later when I left, he was the same person that rang me up and took my cash. I could only stand there and hope that maybe he had washed his hands. I would suggest a thorough training session for all employess on the spread of germs and proper sanitary proceedures when dealing with the public.
