Legislative Reference Bureau undertakes a long-term preservation project to digitize the laws enacted for the Province and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The agency s project includes the maintenance of session laws of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. It offers a collection of Statutes at Large and Smith's and Pamphlet Laws. It converts material to image and portable document formats. The agency maintains databases and writes files to CDs. It contains more than 15 volumes of public and private laws of the Province and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Legislative Reference Bureau provides genealogists, scholars and students access to laws through its Web site. In addition, the agency transfers the data on discs to microfilm.
