Siena house took a pbpp/ dept. of corrections contract to house people with mental health issues returning to the community from state prison .However, by Social Securitys rules, people living at SH cannot collect OR EVEN APPLY for SSD/I benifits .Parole is aware ofthis, SH is aware of this the DOC is aware of this, ieven tried to talk to my state rep. Patty Kim about this but cant get past her aide . Mentally ill ex- cons are some of societys most vulnerable people and you have this group of above mentioned people who are putting mentally ill parolees in a situation where,if they cannot maintain employment, have only one option , eventual return to prison . Siena house is 100% okay with this situation because it fulfills their number one agenda $$$$$ at whetever cost to their clients health, success, or lives.
